Keck Foundation Awards Interdisciplinary Group of Researchers at Columbia

The Keck Foundation has awarded $1M to an interdisciplinary group of researchers at Columbia consisting of Dirk Englund in the Department of  Electrical Engineering, Jonathan Owen in the Department of Chemistry and Rafa Yuste in the Department of Biological Sciences – to pursue a high-risk, high-reward research effort which capitalizes on Columbia’s expertise in both neuroscience and nanoscience.  The project is entitled Watching the Brain at Work: Imaging Neuronal Activity with Diamond Nanoprobes.
